	I have been favored by Mr. Barrett with a song, " 0 come ye from Newcastle?" as still current in the North of England; but, doubting its antiquity, I have not thought it desirable to print it in this collection.



	CUCKOLDS ALL A EOW. This tune is to be found in every edition of The Dancing Master. Pepys mentions it in the following account of a court ball, in the reign of Charles II.:— " 31 Dec, 1662. By and bye comes the King and Queene, the Duke and Duchess, and all the great ones; and after seating themselves, the King takes out the Duchesse of York; and the Duke, the Duchesse of Buckingham; the Duke of Monmouth, my Lady Castlemaine; and so on, other lords other ladies; and they danced the Bvansle. After that, the King led a lady a single Coranto : and then the rest of the lords, one after another, other ladies : very nohlc it was, and great pleasure to see. Then to Country-dances; the King leading the first, which he called for, which was Cuckolds all a row, the old dance of England."
